Requirements
The Consulate General of the Arab Republic of Egypt in Vienna extends its compliments and presents the following instructions in order to obtain an Egyptian Birth Certificate:
For Egyptian Citizens born in Austria:
1. To be eligible for an Egyptian Birth Certificate, a proof of citizenship of the father is required like valid Egyptian passport.
2. Obtaining the Egyptian birth certificate is done on 2 steps:
I. Complete this form and send it back to the consulate with the following:
q Original Austrian birth certificate.
q Copy of the valid father's Egyptian passport.
q Copy of mother's valid passport.
q Copy of the marriage certificate of the parents.
q The amount of 3 Euros if less than 1 month after birth.
q If more than 1 month after birth the fees are 25 Euros
3. The Consulate will send all these documents to the Ministry of interior affairs in Egypt which issues the birth certificate and sends it back to the consulate.
4. The process will take approximately six weeks (6 Weeks) .
